For the few people here who haven't heard already (most likely we're not friends on fb, for whatever reason), Lynx passed away yesterday. I don't want to go in to the details again, but I detailed it here. I'll repost the pictures and videos I posted there though, in case you just want to see pictures of my baby.

Have you ever known anyone whose hair changed texture/quality as they got older?

I was talking to my mom on Skype recently and she commented on how full my hair looked. I mentioned that the humidity lately seems to have made my hair go from its normal, stick straight, fine, limp self to kind of wavy and full of body, and how I liked it but I guessed it wouldn't last. She mentioned that when she was younger her hair was the same as mine - fine, thin, straight - but when she turned 28 her hair started getting thicker and fuller and wavier. My mom has the thickest hair of anyone I've ever known. When she goes to the hair place, they always ALWAYS comment on how much hair she has.

I am 28. My hair has definitely gotten fuller recently, as well as gotten an obvious change in body. Is my hair changing? Has anyone else experienced this? I've heard of peoples' hair getting thinner of course, but I don't think I've heard the opposite.

Don't mind me, I'm just bored.

Leaves are changing here. It's pretty. But it's cold! What the heck. Oh wells, I get to pull out all of my fun sweaters and scarves and gloves and such.

Last year I had candy corn nails (white base, orange stripe at the nail base, yellow stripe at the top) (no picture).

This year I am doing jack-o-lanterns (not the best photo, the nail polish is a lot more orange than it appears):



But I couldn't really come up with different faces for all 10 nails. Plus, I can't draw with any type of precision on my right hand with my left hand. So I think I'm going to keep some of the faces on my left hand (the one on my pointer finger is gone, I didn't really like it) and paint my left hand candy corns.

I've been losing weight. Since my sister's wedding Sept 17, I have lost over 10 pounds (close to 13), and 3 of those are in the last week. I'm not sure what I'm doing differently, but I sure hope I can keep it up! Heh. I just thought - maybe it has something to do with my tongue, which I got re-pierced a few days after getting back from Seattle? Hmmm.

Anyway. That's it for now I suppose. Thor is good. Lynx is good. I am good. Just found 2 Australian family members on facebook, that made me happy.

Oh hey guys. So! Thursday night. My cousin and his girlfriend (from Australia) want to go out for drinks. I would like to go out for drinks with them. But first I have an internet date with Randy to eat Dick's. Cousin and gf will probably accompany. I am thinking Ozzie's for drinks, since it is like, right here next to our hotel (and Dick's). Anyone want to join? Nicole? I am thinking it'll be later, after 9 probably. Let me know and I can text you when I know for sure times (times are up in the air still because we're going to the Puyallup Fair tomorrow morning for scones and earthquake burgers and elephant ears and pig races, then Thor and I are going to my dad's for dinner at 6, to greet some Montana family that will just be arriving after driving all day - some of them might accompany us, but I'm guessing probably not - and then we are going to meet Randy and maybe his wife and then have drinks).

Ok. I've been up for 40 hours. I am going to get some sleeps.

Wednesday: Arrive at SeaTac at 10:30amish, get picked up by my mom. Go to her place to get her other car, maybe get nails done with Lauren (stepsister/bridesmaid) (unless I get them done later today). Check in to hotel in Seattle. 5pm - rehearsal. Afterward - dinner at groom's mom's house. afterward - no idea. Depends on the time. Go back to the hotel in Seattle eventually.

Thursday: Thor and I are going to the Puyallup Fair! You can do it at a trot, you can do it at a gallop....ok I'll stop singing it. We will eat corn dogs and elephant ears and earthquake burgers and SCONES. Mmmmmm. That is also the day my Uncle Bill is arriving, from the Australias! Also, my Montana family arrives that night! Plan on going to my dad's place to see them all. Back to the hotel in Seattle sometime that night. Depending on how hungry we are, we might find something tasty to eat.

Friday: WEDDING. Hair and makeup appointments early, pictures before the wedding, the WEDDING, reception. Get to hotel near the wedding afterwards. Sleep.

Saturday: Not sure. Time to ourselves. Look around Seattle a bit, try to convince Thor he really would like to live there (like I do every time we visit). Hang with friends if schedules allow. Eat Dick's with Randall. Get my tongue pierced. Fly home late that night.

2 months, in fact. Oops.

My sister is getting married next week! I am her maid of honor. I am so happy and so excited for her. We'll be flying in to Seattle on Wednesday. That night is the rehearsal. Thursday we have no definite plans yet (don't know if anything else needs to be done for the wedding), but our hotel is in Seattle so we'd of course like to bum around and do fun stuff in town. Friday is the WEDDING and I think hair and make-up appointments start at around 10am, geez. That'll last a few hours (Michelle, me, Lauren and Ashley, plus mom and future m-i-l I believe), then pictures, then WEDDING, then reception (oh crap I have to finish my speech), then sleep. We have a hotel booked for Friday night very near the wedding/reception location (which is in Federal Way) so we don't have to drive back downtown after the festivities. This is because we plan on DOing THE PUYALLUP on Saturday! It has been YEARS since I've been to the fair. Thor is a wimp and doesn't like rides, though, so we'll probably not go on any. Sad face. I'll make him eat an earthquake burger though. Oh, and scones. Mmmmmmmm.

So - I am thinking Thursday night Thor and I will probably find some tasty Thai food to eat somewhere. Or maybe sushi. Or maybe one for lunch, one for dinner! Also, we need to eat Dicks.

This is the first time I have LJ cross-posting to FB. I wonder if it'll work...

So I'll be in Seattle again for Michelle's wedding! She's getting married Sept. 17th. Sept. 15th, Scissor Sisters are in town. I really REALLY kinda want to go. ALSO! The Fair will be going on while we're there for her wedding! I get to take Thor to the Fair! We are going to Do the Puyallup so hard. Mmmm, scones.

Very excited. I also want to see about arranging some sort of food thing (maybe? unless there are other suggestions that don't involve a lot of work on my end :) ) maybe Saturday? The 18th? That would be after the wedding so I wouldn't have to worry about anything last minute needing to be done for the wedding.

Yay! Seattle again!

A text from Nicole reminded me that I haven't said anything about Seattle since arriving! Oops. Well, I am here. Been having fun, spending time with my sister, grama, mom, and various friends I've been able to meet up with so far. I hope to see Xtina tomorrow, although plans for actual what-to-do haven't been made yet. We'll see. I'll email you Xtina!

Tomorrow is already Thursday. I don't have any plans for Friday or Saturday, although Saturday my flight leaves at 11:20pm so I can't really plan much for that evening.

Anyone have any plans that I might be able to crash? Have vehicle, able to travel.

I think I might buy a Ride the Slut shirt for a friend back home still. I also want to eat at Dick's before going back home. What else don't we have back there.....no Mr. Pibb, no Jack in the Box, no good Thai food (in my half of the state at least), no Inca Kola (although I've already grabbed some for while I'm here, I need to go back to the Market and grab some more). I might want to be all tourist and take pictures from Gasworks Park or something too. Anything I can bring home to Thor that would be good at convincing him he wants to move out here?

So in addition to taking my mom and sister (and probably her fiance Brooks) back to Blue C Sushi for tasty tasteables, I have plans to see Niki (best friend since 3rd grade, that's over 20 years people) that Wednesday night at a wine bar/hole in the wall something or other place that sounds kinda pretty awesome. I plan on seeing Xtina and meeting Taylor as well - if they're up for it still! - sometime during week (yaayy!).

I am sure we'll probably go to the bridal store and try on bridesmaid dresses to see what style Michelle likes best on me. I was kind of looking forward to wearing a tangerine colored dress (that is her color) but it might actually be a champagne colored dress with tangerine accents. Oh well! We'll see.

I also plan on seeing my dad while I'm there. Not sure if I'll just stop by for a hello or if we'll grab a bite to eat or what. We'll see.

I'm very much looking forward to being back home, even though it's too bad Thor won't be there this time. He'll be there with me for Michelle's wedding though, all dressed up and looking sharp :)

I have my midterm tomorrow. Today is dedicated to studying. I think I might even go to the library at UMass after lunch and just hang out there for a few hours with my flash cards. The professor said this class gets a little easier, more concrete and less conceptual, after the midterm, so I am definitely looking forward to that.

Yesterday was our 4th anniversary. Awww. I spent it driving to school (2 hours), sitting in class (4 hours), and driving back home (another 2 hours). I also spun out my car going uphill around a curve at about 25 mph. Luckily someone thought to put a driveway right where my car decided to go, so the only thing hurt was my equilibrium. And maybe my tires.

Yesterday was also the day I officially recognize as Lynx's birthday. He is an old man now, he turned 6. He's such a crazy little guy though, doesn't seem to be slowing down at all. Which is good. I don't know what I will do when he is gone, he's my little man.

Ok, enough procrastinating. Shower, then breakfast, then studying. Then lunch with Thor, then going to the library to study some more without all of these lovely distractions here.
