School starts again tomorrow. Yay.
Still working at Yankee Candle, weekends only. They have a gym on site for employees - totally going to take advantage of that. Some of the ladies do a yoga class once a week - I'm considering attending. They make it sound fun!
Rain all day here - flash floods and everything! Made me miss home.
Speaking of home, we're hoping to visit Seattle again this summer, maybe end of July (at the soonest). It'd be cool to be there for Thor's bday (and we can celebrate with Zach's bday!) on the 20th, but we'll see. We want to spend at least a week there this time - well, I want to spend at least a week there! Maybe Thor won't want to stay as long. Maybe I can stay a few extra days! We'll see.
I've been out of school for almost a month and a half - that's too long of a break. I don't want to go back!
I think I'll have a grapefruit for dinner.

The drunk guy from last night had a Duff Beer hat that he left behind in front of my door as he stumbled up the stairs to the apartment above mine. Someone put it outside (probably the neighbor across the hall) and it was missing tonight. If it weren't covered in beer and gross person sweat, it might've been a cool hat.
Oh yeah, a drunk kid passed out in front of my door last night. I called the cops on him. Cop showed up, took the kids wallet out of his pocket since he wasn't waking up, and I saw that the kids ID was an under-21 ID. Cop was nice though, just went upstairs to wake up those neighbors to tell them to collect their friend. The hallway stank a little this morning though.
Lynx's hair is growing back! He started losing the hair on his tail, which usually means adrenal tumors (what Ed has when she died during surgery), so I got his blood tested. Twice. No abnormalities, but he kept losing his hair. The vet suggested a Ferretonin shot (melatonin for ferrets) that usually reverses the symptoms of adrenal. I'll probably have his blood tested again in February for his 6 month exam, but I'm happy that 1) his blood says no tumors and 2) he doesn't have rat tail anymore. He's too cute to be naked.
Working tomorrow - I don't think it will be busy. Thor is working from home tomorrow night and Thursday night, which will be nice - we can eat dinner whenever we want! I made some pumpkin pies for his co-workers today, I've done it since I moved out here for them. Working on Black Friday as well - I think it will be very busy. People like their candles!
Oh, I work at Yankee Candle now. Have for about a month and a half. It's the flagship store, in South Deerfield (about 15 minutes away). It's basically like working in a winter wonderland - it snows every 4 minutes! It will be busy this weekend though. Santa will be arriving on Saturday via helicopter. He's there year round, but he "arrives" for pictures and sitting on Santa's lap and stuff this weekend. It's cute seeing the kids see him wandering the store in his red shirt and red suspenders, or them seeing Mrs. Claus run around the store too. http://www.yankeecandle.com/cgi-bin/ycb vp/ycContent.jsp?page=/Navigation/Non+Pr oduct+Left/About+Yankee+Candle/Visit+a+F lagship+Store/South+Deerfield+Events is stuff happening at the store. It's kinda fun making the wax hands with the little kids. Anyway, I like this job so much better than my last one. It really makes a difference when you're working with people who are happy to be there and are nice.
It's been so sunny and non-wintery here lately that my hair still looks like it does in the summer (too light). It almost looks like I highlight my hair! I am considering dying it darker so it doesn't look like I dye it. Geez.
I thought I had more to talk about.
It's been 20 years (in about 2 weeks) since I woke up paralyzed. I want a bionic hand. And cyber eyes. 20 years is a long time.
Going to deliver the rest of the pies to Thor at work and then go to bed. I'm sure there was something else I wanted to mention, but I can't for the life of me remember.

Holy crap new Stephen King Dark Tower novel announced!
They weren't kidding when they said the tetanus booster might make my arm hurt a little bit for a few days.
In 2 weeks, we will be halfway between my mom's house and my family reunion location in Oregon!
Happy birthday Thor! You are now 32. You are totally old.
SMOOCH!

The date for doing something out and about in Seattle when Thor and I are visiting is Monday, August 17th. Christina very kindly is trying to help me organize/come up with ideas, and so far we figure that Spaghetti Factory downtown would be the best place to meet up for dinner/drinks, not too late because I know it's a work/school night and all that! Depending on how people feel, we will most likely end up wandering around downtown and finding somewhere else fun to hang out for a while.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Does that date absolutely not work for someone who wants to go? Who is thinking they might be able to show up? Just to get an idea of the amount of people, that is. You guys are on my flist because I like you, so I'd like to see all of you! Lemme know plz kthx.

Going to see the doctor at 4:15 today. They're making me wear a facemask in the waiting room.
Sick. It's gross. No fever or aches (other than the head) so it's just some gross sickness I caught from some guest at Target. WASH YOUR HANDS PEOPLE. DON'T PUT STUFF IN YOUR MOUTH AND THEN GIVE IT TO ME TO RING UP. YOU ARE GROSS.
Anyway. I've felt sick since Monday. Felt awful on Tuesday, but I have no classes that day so it worked out relatively well. It was over 90 degrees on Tuesday as well, so we had all the windows and blinds shut and the fan cranked.
UPS is supposed to be here today. I've been waiting for him to show up so I can go out and get something to eat. I'm tired of broth. I don't know what I want to eat though. I should probably just get more soup.

Southcenter Mall has a Blue C Sushi in it now?
Paul Harvey died. That's sad.

still having fun. We´ve been in Cusco since Saturday (only yesterday, I guess!) and are going to Machu Pichu tomorrow. My and Thor´s moms had an exciting brush with danger at a market today - we´ll have to make sure not to let them go anywhere by themselves anymore!
The food is very tasty. Thor likes it all so far! I have a list of foods I have to make him for reals now - I keep saying I will, but always run out of time and since he didn´t know what he was missing he didn´t push it, but now he will. Oh wells, it´s all tasty.
Going back to Lima on Wednesday, and then Chiclayo on Thursday. Apparently there was a bus crash with 32 killed in northern Peru, very near where we will be - if anyone was concerned, don´t be. We weren´t there, and we´ll be flying up, not driving, so we should be safe.
Next Monday (the 19th) we´ll drive and boat to Nazca and see the lines! We´ll be back again in Lima on the 20th, leaving for home on the 22nd.
